So your hair is damaged. What now?

So your hair is damaged. What now?

The good news is that you can drastically improve the look, feel and texture of your damaged hair. The bad news is… well, the damage has been done.

But chin up, Babe! There is still major progress and luscious locks to be had. Well formulated hair treatments can drastically improve the texture, sheen and appearance of your hair and, most importantly, can stop the cycle of damage with protective, nourishing ingredients. We know, you’ve heard all the promises of “repairing damaged hair” but let’s talk about this. Consider the fact that hair is technically dead and has no method of cell regeneration, nervous system or blood flow. Because hair isn’t alive - it cannot heal.

Stopping the damage, protecting and nourishing your healthy hair while getting rid of icky split ends is a necessary part of a healthy haircare routine. Using smoothing, hydrating oils on your hair can and will absolutely improve texture, sheen and appearance but once the damage is done you really need to use them regularly to maintain optimal results.

Healthy hair comes from a healthy scalp and is often what we neglect most. So give it some attention! And another thing… If your goal truly is long luscious locks and you are holding on to those damaged locks just for the length then it’s time for a little intervention – Cut it! Those naughty little split ends infect healthy hair and are standing in your way. Regular trims along with some love and protection will get you back on track.

Certain natural oils soften hair and make it appear less damaged as they smooth and seal down the cuticle. Beautiful plant oils such as avocado, carrot seed, macadamia, wheat germ and olive hydrate and soften damaged hair by penetrating and locking in moisture. Wild Child is incredible for detoxing the hair, stimulating the scalp, balancing oil production, nourishing and protecting each strand while soothing and healing the scalp. Use it regularly and love your luscious locks!

Wild Child Vivacious Hair & Scalp Rehabilitator

There are so many types of hair – fine, medium, course, medium-course, thin, kinky, wavy, curly... and so on. We recommend that you listen to individual hair needs and adjust how much and how often you use Wild Child. We do want to point out that "dry" is not actually a hair type but a lightly damaged state.

  • While hair is still dry, add desired amount of Wild Child to the ends of your hair and comb to distribute thoroughly. Massage the beautiful oils into your scalp to refreshen, heal and stimulate. Wrap your hair in a towel (warm from the dryer) and leave on for 20-30 minutes before shampooing.
  • Wild Child can also be used as a detangler when applied to hair just before shampooing.
