Understanding The Relationship Between Moisture And Hydration

Understanding The Relationship Between Moisture And Hydration

The transition from summer to fall is always a favorite of ours here at the lab. Filing away memories of sun-soaked adventures, embracing the constant cycle of change, and preparing our minds, bodies, and skin for colder months.

During this beautiful seasonal shift, you may notice your skin feeling a little drier and prone to wrinkling. And as the weather turns cooler, it is more important than ever to make sure your skin is not only hydrated, but moisturized as well.

What’s the difference?

Surprise! Skin hydration and skin moisture are individual, yet equally important things when it comes to your skincare. These two factors go hand-in-hand and will help you maintain beautiful, healthy skin entering the fall season.

Hydration

You know that glow your skin has when you are drinking enough water? This inside-out process is hydration. It’s what keeps your skin soft, plump, and elastic. But if there’s nothing protecting that hydration from evaporating, that glowing, healthy look doesn’t last for long. This is where moisture comes in.

Moisturize

Think of moisturization as the tool you use to lock in your skin’s hydration. Usually in the form of a facial oil or cream, this is the protective barrier you place between the elements and your beautiful skin.

When skin is well-hydrated and moisturized, it stays more plump and resilient over time. Hydration and moisture are the perfect pair for healthy, happy, glowing skin.

Intuitive Blending

Combine Honey Bee Revelation Mask + Ashes Reincarnation Cleansing Grains

We love how all Good Medicine formulas can be blended together, allowing your intuition to lead the way. This harmonic blend combines the brightening, moisture-building magic of our Honey Bee Revelation Mask with our lively Ashes Reincarnation Cleansing Grains.

This combination is a wonderful new way to cleanse your skin and add moisture at the same time. Activated by water, Ashes’ cleansing grains burst and bubble as they rid the skin of dirt, daily pollution, and bacteria while Honey Bee quickly rebuilds moisture levels in the skin.
